Pintar chasis
Publicado: 02 Mar 2011De momento, y casi por seguro, esto es una consulta a modo de curiosidad. Aunque la verdad es que me gusta mucho el acabado, pero entre lo que cueste, y el marrón de desmontar, montar, y quedarte sin moto un tiempo, aunque yo no la use todos los días, ni semanas. Pero vamos, más que nada por dinero. 
Bueno, a lo que voy. En el foro Svrider, vi una moto que me gustó mucho. Os pongo las fotos de la misma, una Sv naked carburación, como la mia, pero con el chasis pintado de negro, el faro delantero a juego, y hasta los escapes en alguna foto. Todo en negro mate.

Hablé con el tio, y lo que me conto fué lo siguiente:
The head light is the original headlight, with the chrome ring on the front, powder coated.
Everything metal on the bike was powder coated in a gloss black with a satin clean over top. A two step process, where most powder coat is a one step process.
I don't have a pic of the headlight anywhere. I've sold the bike a few years ago and can't find any pictures from it. Sorry.
Depending on what pic you were looking at, I had two types of exhaust ceramic coated. The dual exhaust was a Renegade high mount with Titanium cans, silver ceramic coated (another powder coating process using high temperature coating). The other was a race mount M4, coated in high temperature black ceramic coating (again, powder coated).
My local powder coater was great to work with. I broke the entire bike down and just gave my powder coater all the metal bits. He prepped them and gave them back to me coated. Took about 1 week to get coated and done.
Alguien ha hecho algo similar?? Porque la verdad, ese color negro mate, de chasis y basculante, con el color rojizo, queda muy muy bonito. Pero con lo que vale pintar el deposito y cuatro plásticos de la moto, como para desmontarla entera, dejarla en pelotas, y que te pinten el esqueleto.... Ahora, que para mi gusto queda fina, fina...
QUizas aprovechando que tengo el faro tocado, rascado el cromo , si que me arriesgue y lo pinte de negro mate, a ver como queda, sino tocara comprar uno nuevo, que de todas formas, es lo que pensaba hacer.
